Healing and Wellness Solutions for Children and Adults with Injuries or Inflammation (including Post-Concussive Syndrome)

*Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)

Where to Begin

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is the medical use of oxygen at a level higher than atmospheric pressure.  It significantly increases the partial pressure of oxygen in the body tissues and promotes increased oxygen transport capacity of the blood.   By increasing the amount of oxygen rich blood, HBOT stimulates the body to release substances that promote healing.

In treating inflammation, oxidative stress and cellular detoxification, HBOT promotes healing in many disorders including, but not limited to:

ADD/ADHD

Migraines

Autism

Multiple Sclerosis

Autoimmune Diseases

Post Concussive Injuries

Cerebral Palsy

Post Radiation or Chemotherapy Treatment

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Sports Injuries

Chronic Inflammation

Stroke

IBD

Wounds

If you or your child is suffering from an injury, inflammation, or Post-Concussive Syndrome and would like to receive HBOT treatment in our office, you must be examined by Dr. O'Hara or Dr. Szakacs prior to and at the conclusion of  treatment.  Please take the following steps to get started:

  1. Read the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ),
  2. Fill out and sign the Initial Contact Form (Pediatric or Adult),
  3. Sign the HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices Form,
  4. Sign the HBOT Consent Form- Soft Chamber or HBOT Consent Form - Hard Chamber,
  5. Sign the Practice Policies Form,
  6. Fill out the Questionnaire,
  7. Fill out and sign the Credit Card Authorization Form,
  8. Complete the List of Current Therapies/Interventions,
  9. Complete the List of Current Medications/Supplements,
  10. Sign the Patient Consent Form.

Please send all of the above forms to us with a $150 non-refundable deposit (click here for our mailing address). Please do NOT fax these documents.

Once we receive these documents, we will contact you to schedule your initial evaluation.
The cost of the evaluation and use of the hard chamber HBOT in our office is as follows, (less the non-refundable deposit of $150):

The First Appointment

The initial evaluation is a one (1) hour pre-therapy evaluation for the use of HBOT in our office. If the patient is a child, it is imperative that at least one parent be present at the evaluation.  If you are cleared for HBOT, you will work with the doctors to set up a schedule of sessions for your treatment.  If at your or the doctors' discretion you are unable to proceed with HBOT, the fee for the evaluation is $600.

And from there...

Once you have set up the schedule of your HBOT sessions, you may begin use of the HBOT.  Each session can last up to two (2) hours, which allows time to bring the patient up to pressure and back down at the end of the session.  Some children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult in the HBOT chamber, however this will be at the discretion of Dr. O’Hara or Dr. Szakacs.

If, after the HBOT evaluation, you decide that you or your child wants to become an active patient of the practice, you will have to schedule an initial consultation ($600) at the first available time.
